PBS Practice Leader Graduates 2023

We want to congratulate the PBS practice leaders who have graduated in July 2023. We have had around 22 social care practice leaders from 12 organisations graduate. Congratulations to all graduates on your fantastic achievement.

This level 6/7 leading PBS in organisations programme is part of the regional workforce development approach to PBS. The aim of this approach is to build an infrastructure within organisations and to develop the skills, knowledge and competency in PBS across the workforce. Students are both academically assessed, and competency assessed utilising the PBS Academy competence framework. You can find out more about the approach here: Workforce Development approach to PBS « Positive Behavioural Support (pbsnec.co.uk)

Quotes from students:

“Completing the postgraduate course helped me to have a better understanding of the tools available when undertaking a functional analysis, reviewing plans or carrying out skills training. It enabled me to better translate key concepts to support staff and more easily identify the nuances of what makes a ‘good support worker’.”

“The Organisation-wide Implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Advance Diploma Course at Northumbria University has been a game-changer for me and my organisation”

“The comprehensive curriculum and expert instructors have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to make a genuine difference within my organisation and in life of people we support.”

We look forward to welcoming our new cohort of students September 2024.
