Local community of practices
The aim of the local community of practices?
Do you have a passion, to improve the lives of people with behaviours that challenge in Tees?
This is the aim of our local community of practices and we would love other enthusiastic, like-minded people to join us. We know Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) is the best way of supporting people and we want to provide an opportunity to share information, offer advice and to support each other to use PBS.
Who are the events for?
We welcome anyone with an interest in Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) at the community of practice meetings.
PBS is an effective and ethical way of supporting people who are at risk of or who display behaviour that challenges. By developing an understanding of a person’s behaviour, we can develop individual strategies which support them. The overall goal of PBS is to improve someone’s quality of life and to reduce the likelihood of challenging behaviour occurring in the first place.
