PBS Steering Group

As part of the North East and North Cumbria Learning Disability ICS Workforce Programme, the North East and North Cumbria Positive Behavioural Support steering group provides strategic leadership in the Positive Behavioural Support Workforce Development Package. The package focuses on developing infrastructure to support and build capacity for practice-based learning and good standards of PBS, commissioning and developing appropriate programmes of learning and assessment for providers

The steering groups role is to oversee the strategic development of:

• Delivery and sustainability of the PBS project
• Evaluation of the PBS project
• Establish a set of PBS Standards across North East and North Cumbria
• Provide leadership in and pragmatic solutions to the delivery of the PBS project
• Further, develop the PBS Community of Practice and PBS Coalition across North East and North Cumbria

The group meet monthly and are a multi partnership group across the health and social care system, education, families and the community and voluntary sector
